Who we are

Muskaan began its operations in January 2019 with the mission of providing free educational support to underprivileged children. These children typically attend nearby government or Trust-based schools and need additional help with their studies. Their parents work as hawkers, laborers, rickshaw drivers, and in similar professions.

Beyond academics, our goal is to instil moral values, discipline, and support personality development. We use a practical approach to help these children grow, become independent, and self-sufficient. We also emphasize extra-curricular activities to uncover and nurture their hidden talents. Additionally, we organize medical camps to raise awareness about health and hygiene.

Our aim is to take responsibility for the financial support of every Muskaan child until they complete their education. Ultimately, we strive to help them secure employment, allowing them to live dignified lives and create better futures for themselves and their families.

Muskaan celebrated its 5th anniversary in January 2024. Starting with 15 children, we now serve over 150. Currently, we operate two batches: one from 9 to 11 am and another from 4 to 6 pm. Each day begins with a prayer and the chanting of “Omkar.”

Students then meet with their assigned teachers to study subjects such as Maths, Science, English, and Gujarati, according to their school standards. We maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio, with one teacher for every 10-15 students, ensuring personalized attention.

Twice a week, we offer dance, drawing, and computer classes taught by expert and qualified teachers. We celebrate every festival to instil cultural values and hold fortnightly lectures on moral values. Each day concludes with the national anthem, and snacks are provided to all children. Our institution supplies all necessary stationery to every student.
